Raising Arrows

Our mothers group currently meets fortnightly (alternating between one playdate and one Bible study meeting) and is designed to provide opportunities for mums with primary school aged children and younger to fellowship, be encouraged and grow together spiritually on the challenging journey of motherhood. It is our desire that through this ministry, we will also be able to reach out to the mothers in our community and eventually see them and their families saved and discipled.

Why the name -
Raising Arrows

Let's face it - motherhood is hard! Lack of sleep, endless piles of laundry, homework, unending housework, tantrums, nightmares and boo boos are a very small list of the many challenges we face as mothers. On top of caring for our children's physical and emotional needs, God has also assigned us with the duty of raising them for His glory.

Psalm 127:4 says: "As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth". Someone in battle doesn't pick up an arrow with the intention of it hitting nothing. The arrow is picked up with the intention and purpose of hitting a specific target. God depicts children as arrows in this verse - our arrows! We only have one chance to aim and then release our precious arrows to hit the target, glorifying God. It's a hard task, but you are not alone. Let's take this journey of motherhood together, after all, we are all raising arrows!
